| Using Lactobacillus Acidophilus |

The Lake’s LACTO-Plus contains the two beneficial bacteria’s known as Lactobacillus Acidophilus and the Bifidobacterium Bifidum. We guarantee on our LACTO-Plus label two billion viable (live) organisms per gram (approx. 2.5 gms/teaspoon), and it contains equal parts of both organisms.
These beneficial bacteria's can not be over dosed. When using LACTO-Plus, a maintenance level of 1/2 teaspoon per gallon, or a generous sprinkle is sufficient every 1-3 days. When treating an upset crop or digestive track, we first advise using the Apple Cider Vinegar to adjust the pH so that the organisms will survive, then use generous amounts of LACTO-Plus like your fighting a battle.
You can ferment your own organisms by adding to water or food, and allowing to ferment over night. After the first hour, these organisms double their strength every hour up to approximately 18-30 hours depending on the presence of chlorine or contaminants.
It is VERY important to protect these encapsulated organisms from excessive heat and moisture, the product can be refrigerated or froze. Do not refreeze any product that has been even momentarily unfrozen, causing ice crystals to thaw. Freeze in air-tight (not plastic bags) portions that will be used within 30 days is best. If the product turns orange or rusty brown like a dead leaf, discard and don’t use.
